The Week in Swiss Startups (15-19.4.2024) - Week #15
The third week of April '24 features 8 startups and 0 exits. Bcomp raises $40M Series C, and the insurtech company Pula closes a $20M Series B round. Read my Q1 2024 analysis!
Hi there,
How is the Swiss financing landscape doing? The Swiss financing landscape reveals varying perspectives depending on the data examined. I aimed to share the Q1 2024 analysis; however, the data present inconsistencies:
According to startup.ch's report by Venturelab, there is a notable 34% decline compared to Q1 2023 (CHF 605 million to CHF 398 million).
Conversely, dealroom.co 's data indicates a positive trend with a 12% YoY growth (from CHF 695 million to CHF 783 million).
Unfortunately, I lack access to the raw data. However, would you expect Q1 2024 to be better than Q1 2023? Let me know what you think and hear from the ecosystem!
On the positive side, here is some great news from last week:
Bcomp and Pula secured growth rounds last week.
Techcrunch showcased Neural Concept's collaboration with F1 teams.
Spicehaus Partners announces first closing of FUND II.
Cradle.bio is currently hiring.
